Get over being shy.

You are probably shy because you are afraid of being rejected. If that is the case, then tell yourself that the opinion of just one person doesn't matter, and rejection by just one girl does not change who you are. She is more likely to reject you if you seem needy or desperate. If you seem slightly indifferent, like is no big deal whether she says yes or no, then you are less likely to get rejected (girls don't like to feel pressured into a relationship). Act confident, like you are aware that if she doesn't like you, you KNOW that someone else will.

After all, if she rejects you, she is the one who lost out, because she missed out on getting to know a great guy like you.

Self-confidence is sexy.

Me or you shy? If you're shy, just be yourself and get comfortable being around her before you ask her out.

how does me being shy affect your asking out a girl?

Tell her this: "Have you ever been to (movie/concert/restaurant/museum/tour/sporting event)?" She gives her answer and you say, "Wanna hang out there (possbile date/time)?"
