I mean songs like "Hark the herald angels sing" etc. etc. etc..
You can't go three pages in a hymnal or every other Xian contemporary song without the term angels sing or sang...
Why so many songs if there is no reference to them singing in the scriptures?

No one can accept Jesus into their lives. Yes, they rejoice when there is a soul saved. (Prove to me that is in scripture as well as angels singing) April
Nothing petty about this question in that it is near and dear to the hearts of all those loyal church folk who love their scripturally inacurate lyrics cause it makes them feel good. Bunch of cats. Tomi
Islam is a false religion and I do not give credance to the Koran as a basis for this argument. xLANx
You might sing songs about broken hearts, I do not. (Messiah died of a broken pericardium. the sak of water around the heart. That is why blood and water flowed from the spear wound to his side.) r_u_really_that_scared.
Angels do not sing because they are not fallen beings. They know no sin therefore they do not know redemption and salvation.
I will know in heaven.

Yes. Revelation 5 in verses 9 and 10 is THE ONLY SONG! It is new, we cannot assume that they sang at the birth of Messiah or at any other time except maybe creation.

Hmm.. good question... in the Scriptures.. the Angels are just messengers from God...

perhaps.. they only sing in Heaven.. so you'll just have to get there in order to hear them.

i might want to no longer discover one scripture that announces the angels sang... the most conventional making a song angels might want to were at Jesus start and Luke 2:13 "And all of sudden there changed into with the angel a mess of the heavenly host praising God, and declaring", i wager that folk assume angels are mushy, warmth fuzzy inducing beings (and that is a unfavorable aspect) because the angels listed interior the Bible are more effective masculine case in point Gabriel, Michael, Rapheal etc. so the angels aren't from now on the wonderful fuzzy feeling inducing beings that are depicted now a days. to be able to assert you sing like an angel and to assert you seem as if an angel are both attainable insults!

I do not think you would accept any proof given to you, looking at your responses to people.

Why do you assume they do not sing, when the Bible clearly says in Revelation the angels sing Holy, Holy, Holy, do you actually think that will be the first time in all history they will sing.

Why are you afraid to write Christian, you have to write Xian. Apparently you have never listened to Contemporary Christian Music, if you think every other song is about Angels singing.

Next time learn a little about the subject before you make stupid assumptions.

Umm, no offense, but this is kind of a weird and petty question. The Bible probably didn't reference the angels singing because God probably thought He didn't have to. The bible is a handbook to our lives (forgive the cliche) and I think that God probably just didn't feel that adding any useless extraneous info was neccesary.
Why not have songs about angels singing? It makes us feel more holy to feel that we're doing the same things as angels are doing, I'm sure and I don't see how it could hurt.

So, you believe in the Bible? You're point is "there's no reference to it in the Bible, therefore angels don't sing." If you don't believe in the Bible then your point is null.

Job 4:7 is one reference I found for you. " 7 while the morning stars sang together and all the angels [a] shouted for joy?"

What's with this Xian crap...are you so lost you cannot even say Christian?

Angels don't sing?
You may be right, but when God created the universe, they loudly praised God. This is told in Job 38:4-7 Mainly verse 7

4Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? Declare, if thou hast understanding. 5Who determined the measures thereof, if thou knowest? Or who stretched the line upon it? 6Whereupon were the foundations thereof fastened? Or who laid the corner-stone thereof, 7When the morning stars sang together, And all the sons of God shouted for joy?

It makes the WASP mothers happy to see their brats as they see them, with angel wings. Can't see your children with wings if there are no angels singing and no angels singing to sing about.

why do we sing songs about breaking hearts, when there are no breaking hearts unless you're suffering a coronary and then it's out of context?
