Since there is a God, and no one can prove it to you, will you cry when it finally hits you, what would you do? I will feel sorry for you because you sound like a darlin person. And you'll never get to explore the universe with me.

I already went through this period. I spent decades (from when I was a little kid) thinking about god and searching and questioning and going through complete shake-ups in my faith to where I then became an atheist (with an open mind to other possibilities). I prayed and prayed and did thought experiments and nothing was returned. I thought that Buddhism or some other form of mind training would be used if I ever became too depressed over this. I've also gone through major depression over the fragility of existence and how I'd be dead for millenia; I dealt with this by thinking that I never asked to be here and that any existence at all is a gift & that I can't selfishly demand more. I decided that life itself would be lived without selfishness, if I could that (but I'm self-centered so ... that went out the window).
However, when I was going through the roughest part of my life, I had an experience that was overwhelming - definitely a spiritual experience that made me realize that we're not alone (experience of a 'Me' that was not this small self I thought was 'me'; this 'Me' that was 'not me' was 'God', 'Jesus', Buddha, whatever -- it knew everything and wasn't fearful). I realized that the experience is ALWAYS there but that the only way we experience it is to trully let go of our ego/self (completely let go control). I was blown away -- but it was just a glimpse and didn't last. I then threw myself into A Course in Miracles and Zen and had some other experiences (but I've since let this stuff go and I'm back to wallowing in my own ego).
So ... this is a round-about way of saying that proving/disproving god is pointless - god or 'not god' can only be found by direct experience where the logical/rational/discursive mind is a hindrance. Belief and logical proof are not this direct experience. We can say that various depictions of god are incorrect (e.g. any of the ones that are examples of people's egos being projected outward -- anything that has god as a judger, a believer in sin, etc.). Direct experience of the Ultimate Reality - of the Ultimate Ground of Existence - is the only way to satisfy this. Read '3 Pillars of Zen' for a good start.

Well, God does exist. He sent Jesus to save us from our sins. Evil also exists, which spurs questions like yours.
In 1989, I took a comparative world religions class. I was already a Christian, but a young one, and I had questions about what was out there.
I learned that the soul is the only permanent essence of our existence. I learned that Christianity is the only "religion" that offers an eternal punishment for those who don't believe. The other ones all either bring you back by reincarnation, have you cease to exist, or put you in a lesser heaven-type place. Armed with that knowledge, I went on to explore my new-found "religion" which I later learned is more about having a relationship with Jesus than being an actual religion.
Another way to look at it:
Religions: DO (do works for your god(s) and never find out if you do enough)
Christianity: DONE (Jesus did the work for you on the cross. Your faith makes you want to do work for Him)

No no i would Have to ask you
"how did you prove there was no God? By definition God is that which is infinate and all knowing. How was it that some guy proved the source of infinate knowlege??? It would be the same like trying to prove there was no rock in the universe with white dots---YOU CANT AFFIRM A NEGATIVE.
Then Id have to take you through all the laws of morality and show you how there are universal morals and prove to you that you have a conscious--that only speaks to you, You dont speak to it. ANd whenever it does, its only on issues or morality.
so if there is no God there is no hope, no moral law and no such thing as good or evil. Because if you assume there is good,
you have to assume theres evil. If you assume theres good
you have to assume theres a moral law on which to differentiate between that good and evil, and if you assume that you have to deposit a moral law giver, but wait.....that's who you were trying to disprove.

No God = no hope.
I don't know what I'd do and I don't like thinking about it. No God means no afterlife. It means none of us have any relatives or loved ones waiting for us on the other side. It means when we die, we just die. No afterlife, no nothing. We're wormfood. Eventually doomed to extinction like the dinosaurs. Nothing but death death death for all of us.
How does this sound?
You better hope there is a God.

well thatd be impossible so i cant even answer lol,
look at this way,....................you can only go so far back in time, until you have to make a decision, either matter into existence on its own.. SUPERNATURALLY, #2- always existed SUPERNATURALLY, #3 a SUPERNATURAL self existing God created it,,,.....regardless of which decision, you believe in something supernatural, and it makes more sense that God created the magnificent brain that you have in your head that can think of many things simultaneously, hear, see, reason, because the odds of that happening by accident, is ZEROOOO, just talking in general to anyone who will read, not gettting and attitude, hope it wasn't taken that way.

In reality, no one can prove it because God WILL NOT allow it. He will make insane (or inflict) for someone who is going OR trying to prove it.
Have you ever heard of challenge of God to make even a chapter like in Scriptures? That challenge has not been tried yet...

No, I would be satisfied with myself for not being a fool to devote my life to one in the first place. Then I would ask for the proof, just so I could enlighten the rest of the world.

I wouldn't believe their proof, because Satan is powerful just like God, and has all kinds of ways of moving believers to his side.
There is a GOD, one GOD, JESUS CHRIST, and I will see Him in Heaven someday! Your question didn't upset me, like you probably intended. It just made me wish you could use your inquisitiveness for the Christian cause!
God Bless, and I Will Pray For You
