I was hurt by a guy at a young age, say 16ish. He has now come back into my life 7 years later. He says he's a totally differant person and I wanna believe him, but should I. I've carried the pain all this time and swore I would have nothing to do with him, but I can't help but wonder. We went out and had a good time, but should I be leary about his intentions???

Dont know people change lot during this specific age. I tell you believe in your heart not your mind.

Ask what has changed so that he's "totally different". I'd be skeptical, as changing behavior patterns is seldom done without a great deal of effort and work on the part of the person. Two conditions you might keep in mind. Sincere remorse for how he hurt you. That is, acknowledgment that he did hurt you and an indication that he never wants to hurt you that way again. Second, he must EARN his way back into your good graces.
If, on the other hand, you like living dangerously and the excitement is attractive, you know what to do.

You should stick with your first mind. Yes people do change. At WHAT COST would you be willing to see if he has change { YOUR HEART} I think you should real think about it. If you think that it's a good idea then go with it you only live one time. Do what your heart say not what your mind or what every one Else is saying

well. just pay attention to his actions. Everyone deserves a second chance. Give him a chance and watch him. If he hurts you again, drop him. And leave him, and never go back. <3.

We look into history to predict the future. I think his record says it all.

change can occur in a person. try being friends...if you can...this way you'll know if he truly has changed before entering a romantic realationship with him
