I think personally that the illegal's are taking away rights and priviledges away from the legal alien such that legal process for getting people here legally would slow down considerably. There cannot be too many people inside a house already fully occupied. So those who applied legally and their parents will have to stay overseas 15 to 20 more years. Because of illegals it is hard nowadays to get a family member even tough you have US citizenship. Today the illegals are asking for amnesty and tommorrow they will fire the legal alien from their job once they get their legal documents.

Legal immigrants like I was should not support anything that is illegal. Although some sort of compromise (but no amnesty) should be looked at.

What? You are not making any sense. If the undocumented immigrants get their green card or citizen, why would they fire any one with legal document. Don't you know that hiring illegal will get fined. Why would they take that chance.

Right now, the problem is not the immigrant, it is the economy. We have to give them documents or we have to assume they are not here. We cannot deport them in large number. Our economy is so vulunerable, we have just recover from a recession. If we deport all of them, we will be going through another Great Depression and maybe even worst. I believe there are over 20 million of illegal immigrants, we cannot afford to lose so many people in the workforce. There is only about 4-5 million people unemployeed. The number doesn't add up. How many small business will suffer and go out of business? This in turn will affect the larger business, banks. After that, we will experience mass unemployeement.

Legal immigrants should be first in line. Illegal immigrants should be last. Legal immigrants should not have to be punished for following the laws to be in America. It is a long process and just because a few babies demand rights and try to compare their situation to the correct action of the civil rights movement, they are lawbreakers. Legal immigrants YES. Illegal immigrants NO.

You're right! Illegals are an insult to those who came here legally! I know some legal citizens who say the illegals are an embarassment to them!

We need a new system in place. America is supposed to be the land of opportunity -- but it doesn't have a way to make the transition. The system needs to be restructured in order to accommodate everyone.
