Is burrowing a big issue, will they cause more damage then they are worth?

Great idea! They don't compete with fish; indeed, they can be a food source for the fish. They are scavengers and will exploit anything that is in the pond that otherwise would go to waste. PLUS, they are good eatin'---especially when made into a gumbo over rice! (But they are really great fried like shrimp too!)

i don't really know much about crayfish, but you got to think about how healthy and strong your fish stock is first if there is any. they may eat the fish eggs causing you to loose fish. if i'm not mistaken i think crayfish need running water like a stream or creek.

Put some big Craw Daddy's
Remember to never tell anybody you have transplanted fish from one pond to another.. It is illegal to do this.

An Excellent idea ! If they take, you can trap them, and steam and eat them like mini lobsters, or, sell them as fish bait ...

great idea! plus they are bottom feeders so they'll help keep your pond clean , and you can eat them!!! yummmy!!
