This would obviously be to the creationists. I'm talking about stuff like the gastornis, leptictidium, megatherium, irish elk, etc., most of which died off under 10,000 years ago. So, basically, why is there no mention of these things hanging around with people anywhere?(and I know some of them were around for primitive forms of humans, and some not so primitive) And how long could they have possibly lived for, they came about after the dinosaurs, so it doesn't look like they have much room in a 6,000 year timeline.

Bishop Ussher was the one that put a birthdate on the planet and he did so by calculating the lifespans and births of the folks from Adam to Jesus. The Pope at the time called this information factual.

Most Christian folks that I know of don't agree with Ussher's assessment. They don't try to "date" things as being in a specific era, though I haven't found one that can answer why there are no human fossils that can be dated before homo erectus and other homo species that have died out.

Of course, I've never had one explain the well documented fossilized evidence of the evolution of the horse. No missing links there. They tend to use horse fossils for dating other fossils found in the same area, which is actually cool when you think about it.

hmmm? and did you like the T Rex foossil from Montana a few years ago encased in sandstoe? They broke it open to load on the helicopter to fit it and there was T Rex Flesh, blood viens and blood cells.... doesnt appear to fit in a naturalist more than 65 million year ago time scale eh?

or did you like the dog like mammal in china with the baby dinosaur bones laying on its tummy.... inthe naturalistic timescale there should have been no doggies chasing dinos ever
why is this??? hmmm

when you see a dino fossil you are generally looking at an
animal which was catastrophically buried and died in the flood of noah, it is otherwise difficult for an animal to even be fossiliez as normally they would be eaten and particulaly marine animals and marine dinos

the dinosaurs were made on day six along with the other animals
they lived and prospered mostly before the flood of Noah about 4400 years ago and did not adapt to the world after the flood which was less hospitable to them and largley began to die out
The Bible mentions a few such as Behomoth and Leviathan around Job 3 and Job 42 which lived after the flood and porbably the stuff that propted out dragon ledgends we find all over the world as they died out or were hhunted down

I completely validate your thought as I also had those thoughts before. Allow me to elaborate things in order for you to understand things clearly. it is important that we do not translate the scriptures in a very literal manner. Yes, the dinosaurs existed and all in between as well as man. If we think deeply, the evolutionists and the creationists have no reason to have feuds. Creation didn't happen in just 7 days, our 7 days is far different from God's 7 days. The main point here is the acknowledgment that with all the species that walked the earth for millions of years, it is undeniable that they just existed own their own as there should be a primary cause, a certain supreme power that enabled all those species to exist.

I've often thought about this myself. And finally figured out an answer that worked for me. Yes the Bible says the world was created in 7 days but what if our 7 days are not the same as God's? Maybe it really was millions of years before he had things just the way he wanted them. That's just one idea.

I believe scientists still do not have enough information on that era, that's why less theories are brought to light. during that time most land were covered in ice. Primates during that time were barely called human.it is very possible that those megafaunas extint due to hunting by those "human". if u believe in evolution, then most of them already evolved to moose, eleghanpt, horse, rhino.......The animals during that time were not that significant though...

why you want them written in the bible, dinasaurs existed before the bible was written .all christians believe there is a gap between Gen 1:1 and Gen 1:2 thats the time of the dinasaurs.

Because christians hate fuzzy animals that prove the theory of evolution.
Their loss, more fuzzy animals for us to cuddle.

Unfortunately, Christians have a tendency to watch "The Flintstones" as if it is a documentary.
