It is quite simple really. Sex is one of the single most powerful snares that Satan has at his disposal with which to turn people away from God.

God gave us the Bible and contained within a set of laws with which we should live our lives. The Bible also tells by example what happens when we do not follow those laws. It also tells how God has a continuing plan for mankind and the eventual end of Satans rule over this world.

Life is tied up in sex. Sex is not necessarily a bad thing in religion. It's just that people can find all sorts of perverted ways to mess with sex. Then religion tries to warn against that, and ends up being perverted into anti-sex. In the christian bible a whole book is devoted to describing sex. Read the Song of Solomon sometime. The descriptions are a bit flowery, but sex is what it's all about.

another form of control....sex is very powerful stuff...and if it keeps you out of heaven all the more reason to go to church.

Nothing about sex is confussing, we just made it so. Ask your self one basic question, do you think your god want it to be complicated, and bad.

here is what works for me; In time you will find your own answers, so dont be in any rush. Listen, learn and trust your inter knowing, and if all that should fail.

Then stop everything your doing, sit down, and remember to be "responsible" and Love yourself first. With any luck that may get you through some of the stuff.

Humanity just jacked sex up for all of us but were slowly coming around.

Can't answer that one -- but read William James' "The Varieties of Religious Experience"... it mentions the overlap between sex and religion among both spiritual people and people with mental issues. It's a fascinating subject. And indeed, for the two years I took care of mental patients in Illinois, I observed the same thing -- the two seem really tied up in each other.

Islam does not approve of intimate mixing of the sexes, and forbids premarital or extramarital sex. Islam encourages marriage as a shield to such temptations and as a means of having mutual love, mercy and peace

The assumption that sex is bad is wrong.

At least in the Catholic Church, sex is not considered bad.
On the contrary, it is considered holy, as long as it as it was intended by God - to be between one man and one women in the context of matrimony.

Sex is a man and women's participation in God's creative power, and therefore is holy.

Is there a place you can go to, where sex isn't involved, somehow? The only place I have heard of, is an old shaker communitty in Kentucky. They made great furniture, and then they died out...go figure...

Or, maybe parents want their children to slow down, take it slow...more and faster doesn't always mean better...
