I am not asking you If I have it, just wondering other peoples symptoms to see if they match mine. Pretty sure that I do have it and I wear a brace at times.

The symptoms of carpal tunnel are tingling, numbing sensation, and a stinging pain. Early signs of carpal tunnel can be treated by wrapping your wrist at night before sleeping, not too tightly. This helps the wrist to relax. You can get an operation done where they (surgeons) cut the muscle which has grown over the tendons, this is the cause of carpal tunnel. The recovery time is 6-8 weeks, and I personally recommend one wrist at a time getting operated on. With both hands out of commission you become dependent on others, you wouldn't be able to use the bathroom by yourself. If you would rather not have the surgery, try wrapping it while you are typing.

Yes. I have it in my right hand. A tell-tale symptom that it's Carpal Tunnel, is when you wake up, and it's numb - EXCEPT for your pinkie. The nerve for your pinkie does not go through the Carpal Tunnel.

Get yourself a Wrist Brace. The kind with the stiff insert up the front of your wrist and keeps your hand from bending too far forward. They are about $20 at pharmacy stores. Wear it when you type, and at night. It will greatly relief your symptoms.

If it continues even with the brace, see an orthopedist about it. Surgery can correct it.

(But try the brace - it helps an AWFUL lot!)

You should never seek medical advice from mostly untrained and non professional medical folks on the Internet first of all. How would someone on here diagnose you with no exam and no tests. You really need to see an Orthopedist. He/ she will examine you, order the proper tests and evaluate you and try treatment and surgery if necessary. That is the only wise and true answer to your problem/question.

By the way, a chiropractor is NOT an MD. If you have a serious joint issues, you need to seek an Orthopedist. That is why they spent four times in school longer than a chiropractor lol. I recommend an orthopedic surgeon.

And forget self diagnosis and wearing a brace too (without the direction of the doctor). Not treating this type of injury will only lead to it becoming worse and can lead to severe nerve damage as well. Seek the opinion of an expert and get a real diagnosis and real and proper treatment. It's your health and your body.
