usually when cats pee in strange places it means they are stressed. has there been alot of activity going on lately that he isn't used to? he needs more attention, and maybe get him a new litter box and try some better litter. if you wash the litter box with hot water before you put the granules in, cats are more likely to wee in there. also, don't use a pine oil to clean it as this causes tongue ulcers in cats.
If you catch him weeing in the wrong place, pick him up straight away and put him in the litter box.

TOPIC:Cat urinating on clothes and blankets
QUESTION BY: Amanda Williams
I have a 2 year old male cat who, for the last year has been an indoor/outdoor cat. Recently, he contracted a parasite. This ma
de me start to worry about what else he would bring home to my two young children. So, we've been keeping the cat in. Now, he's urinating on our blankets and clothes. What can I do short of letting him outside again?

Hi Amanda,
First let me say you did the right thing by keeping your cat indoors. It is not safe outside as you learned.
First you need to bring your cat to the vet to see if it has a urinary tract infection. I am assuming he is neutered.
If it doesn't have an infection, you need to be sure you have some cat toys and places to climb hide etc which will make your cat feel like it still has the freedom of the outside. Your vet can also advise on other behavior tactics.
Hope this helps.
Let me know how he does.

IS he an indoor purely cat ?? there ought to correctly be a clean cat contained in the realm that inspired this marking territory urination or he ought to correctly be less than pressure also some cats choose privateness to apply the muddle tray hence he's hiding in the back of the sofa and so on there is also a product referred to as a feliway diffuser which releases pregnant lady cat pheremones into the surroundings that has a tendency to loosen up maximum cats and it may calm him somewhat attempt putting a wide cardboard field over the tray and slicing a cat sized get entry to hollow for him to flow by If no longer go back him to the spca to be rehomed as an out of doors purely cat

OK, I have a female cat that is around a year old now. She has always used the litter box until recently, over the past few weeks, she has started urinating on my oldest son's bed. I think that it is when she is in heat & for some reason the smell of my son's bed attracts her. Has UR cat been fixed?

I have a cat that started peeing on our clothes and the couch, ended up being a UT infection, take him to the vet! He gave us pills and it cleared up after about 2 weeks,
or just dont leave it out for him to get to!

He probably is used to yur scent, having lived with you for the past 5 years, and is trying to "mark" your fiances new scent cuz he probably just doesnt like it. Catz like to mark their scent on their owners to mark their territory to other cats and animals. That might be what yur cat is doing.

It's pretty obvious that your kitty is jealous. Males are notorious for this kind of behavior. I think in may be time to get Mr. Kitty neutered.

it the cat is territorial, and your fiance has recently moved in, that could be the problem. If your cat is mad at him that could be another reason.
