WOW I am very sorry to hear about your nephew. I find it odd though that they were denied medical assitance. How is that? Medican Assistance automatcially covers children under the age of 18 in the time of medical need and I would sure think this is medical need. They might not cover if the parents have health insurance. What type of insurance were they under when they had the baby. Women also get medical coverage when parent if they don't have any. That is how each state works. Anway the best advice I can give you is to contact these companies for help. Also contact the local area bizs and see if you can put a benifet together for the family. People in a community will usally pull together and help a family in a time of need.

Sorry! This is not a joke at all. They need to slowly put the babys intestines back inside and then when they get them all to fit back inside, they will do surgery to close the babys abdomen. I don't think the baby goes through as much pain as the family does. The little one gets medication , not the mom and dad. It is very uncomfortable to be in a situation where you can't do a thing to help your little one, the one you are supposed to protect with your life. The only thing I would know is to check with the hospitals case worker and see if the hospital would be willing to take the case for free. If the parents were denied assistance, and they have tried other routes, I'd say get done what has to be done, and after it is all said and done, file bankruptcy, you gotta help your baby, no matter what. Folks, this is not a bad joke, this is a couple with a baby in dire need of help, and looks like no one is willing to help. My prayers are for your nephew and his parents. Good luck to all involved!

Try the local news and see if they will run a story to raise funds.
usually if they run the story the local bank will collect the funds for your nephew. Email everyone you know, or don't know to ask for help, talk shows, charities, just make one complete email then send it to multiple people.
Try churches and see if they will let you have a bake sale. Go to small businesses in the area and see if they will let you put a picture (face only) of your nephew on their counters and take up the money each week.

Contact the Childrens Medical Speciality needs office in your state and county. Even if turned down for medicaid they can still get help. ALso they need to apply for Social security for the infant 18007721213 and get the paper work started tell them to ask the hospitial social worker for a social security disability package if approved the child gets full medicaid. Also early intervention services should be refered to them by hospitial and you again can ask hospitial social worker to refer the family and child for theses services most of time these are free and they have more resources in which can help them.

If this was an actual serious question, this would be my answer...
That is a life threatening emergency. Hospitals cannot deny you medical just because you cannot pay.

Appeal to their church, family, etc. As mentioned earlier, try to get the news involved. Also, do they have a friend who is a doctor? I know my dad was able to get some sort of coverage from a society/board he belonged to when I was sick.

Contact St. Judes Children's Hospital. Surely they have a link (I don't know how to send a link). I do know that this hospital does not turn away children who need help. They work with children who have catasrophic problems.

call someone..like your local shriners etc and they can probably help you...don't Wait
I can't believe that the hospital denied medical assistance for such a major thing..especially a baby...............it's like a doctor's oath to care for sick ones...or so I thought.
also call a children's hospital to check on that.
