We all have an accent, depending upon what region of the country we come from. When I visited the Panhandle part of Florida. I sure as heck had an accent to them, just as they had one to me. One guy from Alabama, I couldn't even understand half of what he was saying. It wasn't his problem. Everyone around me understood him. My accent got in the way. For instance, I had never heard of Cemma, Alabama. I foolishly asked him to spell it: S-E-L-M-A. Duh!?! Stupid Westerner!

My aunt from the east coast talked about going to a row-day-oh. I did not know what she meant, because out west here, we call them row-dee-oh (spelled rodeo). But then in Beverly Hills you can find Rodeo Drive pronounced the way they say it along the east coast.

Welcome to America - land of diversity!

Everyone has an accent. I'm from Pittsburgh, and I have a north-east American accent, but I can't tell because everyone around me has the same accent. However, when I go to, say, Kentucky, I get noticed right away.

There's no such thing as not having an accent. Everyone has one, even if it's more general than other ones. For example, you might have a distinctly Floridian accent, while someone else just has an American accent.

I hope I cleared that up some. :)

It depends on what part of Florida you are living in. The true Florida accent is a touch of Southern (Georgia, Alabama, etc.). However most of the big cities in Florida (like Miami and Orlando) have so many transplanted people living here that the accent has disappeared...

Yes, Southern accents.

Yes, they do, they tend to have a light southern accent. It is kind of funny, because of the number of northeasterners that now live down there and still have the northeastern accents.

you do have an accessory. the reason you do no longer think of you do is cuz you have lived there all your life. thats additionally the reason you are able to no longer hear an accessory in everyone else that replaced into born and raised there different than if spanish is their first language. i stay interior the buffalo manhattan area and of direction i do no longer think of I actual have an accessory yet i be conscious of that others that are no longer from my area could say i do as a results of fact that i do no longer sound like them. and only cuz you think of the form you pronounce a observe is the way its meant to be stated that does no longer mean that i could think of you pronounce them precise as a results of fact that we are from distinctive factors. you are able to rather hear a close-by's accessory in case you watch their information. i could advise going to youtube and searching some thing from WESH information in orlando and then case in point looking some thing from WGRZ-television information in buffalo manhattan and you will see the version in accents.
