Now, it is true that some peoples brain fires differently. But it does not make any difference on which side you sleep on. But hey, you night want to submit it to "Myth busters".

I AM a left-handed person, so Yes! I'm in my right mind!! LOL
I sleep on both sides and neither have made a difference for me, as far as the dreams go.
What I HAVE found though . . . I do my most vivid dreaming during a nap, not sleeping at night! Sometimes they are good, sometimes they are bad. Sometimes (more often than not) they are just plain weird with absolutely no reason to them! LOL
They say you dream every night, whether you remember them or not. I think that's interesting.
Sleep labratories have proved this by the REM's in students under the studies.

Well I can't sleep on my right side because it makes my arm go completely numb and then I have extreme pain all the next day. But before I started having that problem I never noticed a difference in dreams. Sorry but I would have to say that's just a tale.
Dreams usually are determined by how tired you are be it mentally or physically as well as the types of shows/movies you watched on television.

I sleep on the back of my head and my eyes locked on the ceiling. This is about 50-50 to your left-right hypothesis. I have discovered that I could have a pleasant nightmare.

I don't have nightmares, doesn't seem to matter what side I sleep on. I have noticed though, that if am dreaming and laying on one side and then I turn over, my dream does change. Usually the perspective changes. I am also a lucid dreamer, so I have some control over what I dream.

I've never noticed a difference-
I had to sleep on my left side for weeks after shoulder surgery
and I had my share of nightmares during that time.

Mostly I have nightmares not when I sleep on my right or left side per se, but rather when I sleep on a bed of nails and/or broken glass after drinking a quart of tequilla and eating a large pepperoni pizza from Pizza Joe's. That seems to do it to me, every time.

If you have trouble breathing or sleeping on the side that put more pressure on your heart, you tend to have more nightmares. If you find a comfortable position to sleep, you get better dreams.

You know, through my experience a good ol' helping of self served satisfaction will help you go right to sleep and have very pleasant dreams about those persons you fantasize over.

That is totally messed up cause I've slept on the right, on the left, on my back, on my stomach and I can never remember any of my dreams, pleasant or otherwise.

I almost always sleep on my right side and hardly ever get nightmares, and I am right-handed and am very artistic. So your weird theory does not work, sorry.
