That's a preposterous comparison.

The Taliban would never marry their daughters off at age 12 to 40 year old males. They are similar in the fact that their leaders are on the FBI's Most Wanted List.

You could be right, but the Taliban is an extremist religious military govt. now in exile, and the Mormons are a cult.
And there are Mormon who carry guns. Wasn't there some famous gunfight between two different Mormon factions?

you can always find some siliarities and differencesbetween any two religions
although I would not recommend joining either, in all fairness I think the differences probably outweigh the similarities in the case you propose and I dont think the comparison is useful
the differences outweigh the similarilies, the compison is so apples to oranges that its not helpful
a better comparison is taking each and comparing with orthodox christianity perhaps...

You must not know much about Mormon's other than they are Mormon. We believe strongly in family, have high moral values, believe in Jesus Christ and God the Eternal Father.
Do some research at least before you make such extreme comparisons.

Very astute on your part, though I would go further and say that in the ways that truly count, people of all religions (and non-religions) are alike. Regardless of our affiliations, religions, nationalities, race, vocation, age, sex or whatever, we all must have clean air and water to survive. We all want our children to be happy. We all want to see value in life. This is why it is so important for us to look past any differences we might perceive ourselves to have and form a bond of common humanity.

You misspelt "fundamentalist christians". They are _exactly_ like the Taliban, except that they can't get away with the same crimes.
