If an egg has three parts to it ( the shell, the yolk, and the white) and the sum of the total still makes one egg, then why is it so hard for nonbelievers to except the fact that the Father, the SON, and the HOLY GHOST are three seperate things but are still the one and the same?

I am with you. I am a father.(I act towards my children with that part of me). I am a son and a sharer of the word(that makes two ways I am.)And If I am in your thoughts that would be three. Easy to have seperate personalities. Regular ol' humans need to have the Trinity explained to them like children. If they get lucky and feel the Holy Spirit , Just once, They can spread the truth also.

You can separate an egg, and each part isn't an egg by itself. The yolk isn't a whole egg, it's an egg part. It depends upon the white and the shell to be a whole egg. The white isn't a whole egg, it's an egg part. It depends upon the yolk and the shell to be a whole egg. The shell isn't a whole egg, it's an egg part. It depends upon the while and yolk to be a whole egg. 1/3 of an egg doesn't equate a full egg, it's just 1/3 of an egg.

The egg is a lousy tool for explaining the trinity. People believe that the father is 100% God. They believe the son is 100% God. They believe the holy spirit is 100% God. However, for the egg, one part does not equate a full egg. It's a lousy tool to illustrate with. With God, how can 1/3 still be 1? Easy, it isn't. Gobbldeegook trinity. False doctrine.

GOD IS NOT AN EGG. God is ONE. To say that God has to have three persons, you are saying that God being triune in order to exist, in order to Be. GOD DOES NOT DEPEND UPON ANYTHING. If there really were 3 parts, the father would be dependent upon the son and holy spirit, the son would be dependent upon the father and holy spirit, and the holy spirit would be dependent upon the faher and son. They would be dependent upon each other in order to Be. GOD IS NOT DEPENDENT UPON ANYTHING. GOD IS ONE.

great example and thank you, I believe in that too. Remember tho, that even though your illustration is a great one, each part of the egg isnt a whole egg by itself, whereas each part of God is fully God apart from the other. I am not trying to be smarter than you are anything like that, just a point that I also learned.
You are totally correct in your point however, it seems unreal for people who go against the Trinity to accept things like that. If you look at the first few verses of Genesis, the trinity is there.
God spoke the Word and the Spirit was over the water. It is a valid Truth.
Again, please don;t take what I have shared wrong, I wholly agree with what you have shared. Thank you!

Because an egg is not an egg without it's three separate parts. If a yolk was by itself, you would not call it an egg, you would call it a yolk. Just like Jesus Christ would not be the Son without the Father. Why would Christ refer to himself while on the earth as the Son of God and talk to His Father if they were indeed one in the same? He wouldn't, they are separate. I believe (I am LDS) they are one in PURPOSE, but in fact are three separate beings. The three are one Godhead.

because saying that something has three parts is not the same as saying that something is three different things. An egg cannot Be in three different places at one time, but according to the bible, The father, son and holly spirit are.

Eggs have more than 3 parts, they have at least 9 parts (from my search.)
1)The shell
2)Outer shell membrane
3)Air cell
4)Inner shell membrane
5)Thin albumin
6)Thick albumin
7)Chalaza
8)Vitelline (yolk) membrane
9)Germinal disc or Blastodisc

Only one problem; any cook knows you can separate an egg into it's parts. Not so with God.

it ia hard for believers too to accept that...i have hard times myself believing all these things that the church is trying to feed us while the pope goes on public showing off a crucifix that could buy a flat in manhattan if sold, and a ring that could buy a yacht..let us all believe the unbelievable so that we can be tricked on the most simple questions too,,,,
