what if...
- we are from a country who requires a visa to visit schengen nations
- we do not plan to leave the terminal
- our flight comes in to the schengen country in the evening but the next flight leaves in the morning the next day and
- that third country is a non-schengen country?

It depends on which country you are citizens of.

Look at the box labelled "Travellers from whom:" and click on all three links, just to make sure you are certain of what you need.

Some countries require it, and some don't. Your best bet would be to contact a travel agency that specializes in that kind of travel - they should be able to tell you, and they can sell you the visa if you need one too.
