I don't know why but guys seem to be intimidated by women who are career and goal oriented..beautiful, intellectual..and sexy..with the personality to match it. why do guys freeze up at the site of a women like this? just wondering is all.

Well, I would be pleasantly surprised to meet an intelligent, beautiful, sexy, career-oriented woman with personality to match! It would be a welcome relief from the many materialistic, vapid, and vain women out there.
However, to answer you question, I guess men would be intimidated by such a woman because she would be assertive and men are trained to be the pursuers in romance. A woman able to "hold her own", and not dependent on a man for affection, or material things might well be intimidating to some men.

Ok there's a difference between career and goal oriented and acting the way you do at work all the time. You work on a deadline, most people do, and there are no excuses. If you're late to work, doesn't matter if a bus landed on you, you're late. If you are this cold hearted in real life expect to be lonely for a long long time. Men like women who don't sweat every little thing. If I had a girl who acted like my bosses at work, I would be single! Remember, you're in a relationship, not a business venture or project proposal. You don't have graphs and charts here, you have emotions. But the most important thing I notice about people who are "goal oriented" is that they have the inability to open up to others. They so fear showing others their emotions and fears and weaknesses. This is part of what makes us human. You may want to work on this now. Good Luck.

Most men are intimidated by goal oriented women and then there a are a few like me (computer geek) that love that. If you are dating the jock crowd (i am also a jock) then most guys are looking for someone that admires there muscle and not there brain. In order to get a good date you have to realize that your scary and then pick out the guys that might not fit your normal dating habits. Look for someone with authority and command in both there presence and personality. Sounds like your trying to date the weak ones. Oh and remember that the appearance of money has nothing to do with authority. Power makes money and completes goals and money is just inherited.

some women might want to. they only are not the right females for you. body artwork is the most astounding form of expression and open minded women gained't experience intimidated. i imagine tattoos are warm and many different women do to. if you're shy round women they could imagine you're recommend, stereotype of recommend tattooed guy, so be pleasant smile and say hi. well actually thats the type of female most guys are looking for. i can speak for myself that honestly my "ideal" women would be idependent, has goals, intelligent, and beautiful on top of that. But the thing is that most guys i know are to intimidated to go for it and like u said "freeze up" because at the same time their intimidated because they're hard to come by. but at the same time u are meeting the wrong guys because they dont know what to do.

I don't feel that way, so this is just a guess. Maybe those guys view such women as competition, or perhaps they need to feel superior (the "provider"). Also, independent women may be more likely to leave if the guy doesn't treat them right.

Personally best woman I ever had in my life was a Professional Civil Engineer...graduated in 4 yrs with 3.75GPA. sharpest and quickest engineer I have ever worked with.I worked as a land surveyor for over 32 years saw hundreds of civil engineers..none could carry her calculator! .Actually got her a job in the firm I was at..with a 15,000 a year raise too. We lived together for 5 years...still keep in contact..Xmas and birthday cards..once a year we try to have lunch when I visit her hometown..infrequent phone calls as well...Admired her achievements but never in awe of her...actually I slightly intimidated her...

I would love a women who is goal oriented. I am a very goal oriented person and very structured... I hate being in college and seeing tons and tons of immature women.

Because you aren't meeting the right guys, or they are still not mature enough to appreciate you. Self-confidence and taking care of yourself is very sexy and the right man will be more than happy to step up to plate for that.

Actually I like a women who is is both smart and is good looking.I don't find myself intimidated by them at all, and actually just the opposite.
