most scratch removers are alchaol based using a felt buffer start from the inside and rub out to edge working your way around the disk.
toothpaste works to as it has a mild abrasive action. there used to be a spray on scratch remover that filles in the scratch put havent seen it on the shelves in quite a while.se the same motion start from the inside edge and brush out to outside edge. work around the disk until you come back to the side you started from.
