Chicken and Dumplings
This was on the Betty Crocker web site. It said they RACE to the table! Haven't tried this yet, but I think it looks yummy.
1 1/2 cups milk
1/2 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup frozen carrots
1 cup cut-up cooked chickens
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup biscuit mix
1/3 cup milk
4 servings
1. Heat milk, peas, carrots, chicken and soup to boiling.
2. Mix biscuit mix and milk to make a soft dough.
3. Drop,gently, by 8 spoonfuls on top of soup.
4. Cook, uncovered, on low for 10 minutes.
5. Cover and cook 10 minutes more.

This is how I make chicken and dumplings and it is fast and easy.
Take a whole chicken and boil it til tender.
save your broth from the chicken
Take the chicken out of the water and let cool.
Take all meat off bones and place small chunks of chicken into the broth that u saved
season to taste with salt and pepper and i also use chicken seasoning
stir all this up and let simmer to get your seasonings into the chicken for about 10-15 minutes
these are the easiest dumplings in the world to make.
get about four cans of biscuits, open, and slice into slices
add into your broth and chicken let cook for about 10-15 minutes and then you will enjoy chicken and fantastic soft dumplings.

Crockpot Chicken and Herb Dumplings
Ingredients
(1 servings)
3 lb Chicken
Salt and pepper
2 Cloves garlic, minced
1/4 ts Powdered marjoram
1/4 ts Powdered thyme
1 Bay leaf
1/2 c Dry white wine (optional)
1 c Dairy sour cream
1 c Packaged biscuit mix
1 tb Chopped parsley
6 tb Milk
10 Small white onions
Instructions
Sprinkle chicken with salt and pepper, place in crockpot. Insert cloves in one onion. Put all onions into pot. Add garlic, marjoram, thyme, bay leaf and wine. Cover and cook on low 5 to 6 hours. Remove bay leaf and cloves. Stir in sour cream. Increase heat to high and combine biscuit mix with parsley. Stir milk into biscuit mix until well moistened. Drop dumplings from teaspoon around edge of pot. Cover and cook on high for 30 minutes.

Grands Chicken and Dumplings
1/4 cup margarine or butter
1/2 cup chopped onion
2/3 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 (10 1/2-oz.) can condensed chicken broth
1 cup water
3 drops hot pepper sauce(optional)
2 1/2 cups cubed cooked chicken
1 1/2 cups frozen mixed vegetables, thawed
1 cup sour cream
1 (16.3-oz.) can Pillsbury® Grands!® Refrigerated Southern Style Biscuits
Chopped fresh parsley, if desired
Paprika, if desired
1 . Melt margarine in large heavy skillet. Add onion; cook and stir until tender. Lightly spoon flour into measuring cup; level off. Add flour and salt to skillet; stir until smooth. Add broth, water and hot pepper sauce; cook until bubbly and thickened, stirring constantly. Stir in chicken, mixed vegetables and sour cream. Simmer over low heat until thoroughly heated.
2 . Separate dough into 8 biscuits; cut each in half. Place biscuit halves on top of hot chicken mixture. Simmer, uncovered, 10 minutes.
3 . Cover; simmer an additional 15 to 20 minutes or until biscuits are no longer doughy. Sprinkle with parsley and paprika.

i have never measured out the ingredients because i learned how to make this when i was young. hope that it helps some.
1 hen
poultry seasoning (to taste)
water/chicken broth (to cover the hen)
salt (to taste)
pepper (to taste)
pastry dough
boil the chicken in water/chicken broth with seasoning till done. remove and debone chicken. add more chicken broth to make up to about 6 to 8 cups.if most has boiled out. keep water boiling and add pastry to the water and then bring back up to boil reduce heat to a simmer add the deboned chicken and cook till done. dont over cook or pastry will fall apart.
pastry dough:
4 cups all purpose flour
1 cup milk
golf ball size crisco
1/2 tsp salt
blend pastry ingredients together and form into a ball. dought should not be sticky, add more flour if needed. chill for at least one hour. while the chicken is cooking. then remove from the cooler and roll out on a floured surface and cut into 2"x2" squares.

I can sue bee chicken.
2 cans cream chicken
1 can buttermilk biscuits
cut up the biscuits in small pieces and mix all together and bake.
add a dash of salt and pepper to taste.
sometimes I add another can of each, plus a can of peas and carrots and pour it over the biscuits for cream chicken over bicuits. Makes a quick and easy meal in mins.
