Because it is hard. If you believe in Jesus then you have to love your enemies, give away your money and follow his example.
Then when they nail you to a cross you have to forgive them.

I believe that Jesus actually existed, and was one of many self-proclaimed messiahs at the time.

Because to some of us, its a big fat fairytale handed down to make people behave. Its not a true story. That's why I do not believe.

I do believe in jesus..but,i believe jesus was only a prophet from god he's a messenger from god...

It has to do with their upbringing. Maybe it has to do with a bitter life, maybe it has to do what they see and hear.
If people don't want to believe that is their choice.
