I joined the UU Church several years ago and I have always felt like I have found my church family. I live in Sweden and there is not a UU church here and I feel disconnected and lost. Is there anyone in a simiIiar situation? I really miss it. I tried some e-mail discussions but they turned so negative. Are there any European alternatives for congregations like the UU?

John S please clarify what it is about UU that makes it a cult. I have never heard this liberal, non discriminatory, welcoming (rainbow) without specific creeds and doctrines called a cult. Perhaps you have it mixed up with another that is called Unification Church which is Moon's cult. Very interesting statement that I believe has no merit.

And, what does John 14:6 have to do with my situation?

There are a couple of UU churches in Europe, but none close to you.

Have you tried the Church of the Larger Fellowship?

Lots of people (my sister included) call us a cult because we are small and don't all believe in God. This flies in the face of the common hallmarks of a Cult, which are:

1) Single, charismatic leader (Rev. Sinkford is good, but he can't convince us to do things we wouldn't normally do, and when his term is up we'll get another President)

2) Recently founded (We're 200 years old).

3) All the members hold the same beliefs (Ha!).

4) No debate; you either believe everything or get booted out for having no faith. (Again, Ha!)
