Fever is never a sickness. It is rather a reaction of the body to a certain disease or sickness it is encountering. The body temperature is raised due to the presence of bacteria or any pathogen since their reproduction is impeded at high temperature. If you really want to cure a fever, then you must know what had caused it and cure it. Or you can just take some paracetamol or aspirin. Better yet, just apply cold compress on your body to subside the temperature.

The best way to cure a fever if your lucky enough to have salt fish wrap a piece on the bottom of your feet and within the hour your fever will be almost down to normal. You also can do this with a slice of bread with lots of salt onto it like 1\4 cup to a damp slice of bread wrap it to the bottom of your feet.It really works.my daughter had a tempt.of 103 one night and salt fish was my only hope.Doctors told me to put her in a tub of cold water.not the answer as it never did a thing. But salt fish did.

A low grade fever is a body defense mechanism that should not be driven down with medications. An elevated fever say, 38.5 C/101.5F is a sign of infection and you should see you doctor for a possible antibiotic. Ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be taken for the elevated temps. Do not forget to hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. Dehydration can be a problem with profuse sweating and lack of drinking, a sign of dehydration is headache so watch for that.

It's is recommended that a fever not be treated unless it is really severe, nearing 100. Fevers are the body's way of fighting off infections. Raising the core body temperature is efficient enough to kill off a lot of pathogens. Just take a nap, and let your body heal itself.
