You are the stupid one dear. If you judge and are a hypocrite then you are definitely NOT a CHRISTIAN. The Bible explains why we suffer, I suggest you read it. It doesn't matter what happens to us here on this Earth. God promised us eternal life if we live in Him and believe in Him. Try that some time. We have free will but that doesn't mean we must abuse it. In the Bible you will find that God tells us about the people who chose to live for Him and the others who chose the road to perdition. We must follow God's ways and if we do something wrong, we should ask Him to forgive us and mean it when we ask. I don't worship people, that is just dumb! The Bible speaks against homosexual activity and the cutting of your own skin and idolizing spirits or Gods or anything that isn't God. People are NOT born gay, that is something you choose as an individual. Just like people choose to be straight. You are not born knowing what you will be. You grow into whoever you wanna be. Homosexuality is a sin and everyone knows that, but God will always love you even when you are on the wrong path. LIVE FOR CHRIST AND STOP THE SINS! God Bless!!

God can't judge us on how good we are because He's perfect and we can't possibly compare to Him - that's what grace is for. Jesus died so we could be forgiven.
I also believe everything happens for a reason. God is in control and knows what's going on no matter what. He also told us ahead of time some of the things that are going on now.
I believe being gay is a sin and therefore a choice.
Jesus wasn't just a person - he is the Son of God!
I hope you check out www.notreligion.com
Peace be with you

Why not choose your own concept of God? You don't have to follow a specific religion. Religions are created by man. I'm sure there is some truth to them but there is a lot of error too. So, if you don't feel comfortable with what you hear from the Christian (of any other religion), find your own path. You might want to check out some spiritual books - try Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain or something by Wayne Dyer or Deepak Chopra. They have a more relaxed concept of God.

Well, you're pretty much right. Notice that people are the ones doing the judging, not God. And notice that people are the ones that wrote the Bible, not God. I believe that God does judge us on what kind of people we are and not how many piercings we have or who we sleep with. Those standards were written a more than a thousand years ago and to try and apply them to people today is just ignorant.

Thank you for sharing your viewpoint.
Actually, Jesus was far more than a person... He claimed to be God in human form, and did miracles which convinced people that he wasnt lying.
I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).
Cordially,
John

Good for you, you are able to think for yourself. Not many people can say this about themselves, congratulations. Keep it up.
You are really right, yet I have an even more simple answer to your problem. I don't believe in deities. Pretty much solves the problem.
I think people are egotistical, and just don't care. Not everybody, mind you, but too many.

I dunno. Seriously.
But I also don't agree with what followed your question either, since it appears that the true focus of your intention was to criticize rather than to truly seek a better understanding of God.
And why ask a fellow human, if it appears that the best we can manage to do is mess it up?
