There are many, many breeds that can have brindling. Hard to guess without more information.

The breed is called a Tiggerdane. It is a cross between a Tigger and a Great Dane. The only place you can get one is at Pooh Corner.
Seriously, it was a Great Dane that a Tiger Woods fan dyed tiger stripes on. Pretty cool looking - and a nice tribute to TW.

Was it big? There is a Russian dog called a "Sibirsky Ovcharka", direct translation: "Siberian Shephard', they are huge, on hind legs about seven feet tall and some have tiger stripes, I have seen several but I am sorry I do not know what they are called in English.((( Live in Russia...

are you sure your not talkig about a brindle dog? thses often look like they have 'stripes'. I work with dogs and have never met a dog tiger coloured before!
