It seems that the belly button is just a scar left over from our umbilical cords, right? Since Adam was created from dirt, and Eve from his rib, they never had any womb time, or umbilical cords. So, they never had innies or outies..., right?

They shouldn't have had belly buttons.
Yet, if you go into the Time-Warner Center in NYC, there are two HUGE Boitero statues, one of Adam and one of Eve. And they DO have belly buttons. So he wasn't as wise as you are.

Maybe God created them as though they had been born from the womb. So they would have had prototypical umbilical cords of sorts. Perhaps God Himself tied their umbilical cords into belly buttons.

Nope you have 24 ribs and so does your girl friend. Adam and Eve were probably not bird-like and therefor were probably not hatched. If Adam and Eve represent the first Homo saphian couple my bet is on belly buttons. But I wont go so far to say they were innies or outies

I dunno, I never really thought about it. But I mean, I should think God would make them with one since we all have one. No, they didn't come from a womb, or have an umbilical cord, but I also sincerly doubt they came off a plant. :p I guess we will know when we get to Heaven. But still, does it matter? I mean, thats the same with asking, did Mary have blond hair, brown hair or black? Does it really matter? But nice question anyway.

If you are a Christian who believes in evolution, then yes, Adam and Eve existed and yes, they had belly buttons. Adam and Eve were the first humans, created by God, through evolution from other humans.

I would guess no.

However, the Bible could be a text very much like Mother Goose stories. Guidelines and examples of how to live your life peacefully and happily. :)

So was there ever really an Adam and Eve?

Adam and Eve where created by Jehovah, Adam was created from dust and Eve was created from Adam's rib. they where not born. we where born from our mother and father so we have a belly button. if anyone says different they are lying. anyone who says that Adam and Eve never existed is lying, they where real. they most likely never read the bible. the bible comes from Jehovah God and Jehovah can not lie

If you are wondering whether Adam and Eve had navels then you are missing the entire point of the creation story. Either way it does not affect your life today or anyone else's for that matter. There are greater questions to spend your time on.

Maybe they came from dirt like a plant and that's where they broke off the stem...like a melon.
If it broke off clean..an innie...if it had a piece of the stem still attached...an outie :o)

I think God gave them innies so they wouldn't be scared when their kids were born and had real umbilical scars.

Besides, they're cute.
