if you read further the scripture does say the Lamb is it's Light which is Jesus. when God said "let there be light" he was not speaking of Jesus but of actual light. the reference in John is speaking of Jesus as the Light in the darkenss ( sin of the world)

Two different kinds of light one is symbolic like pretty much everything in Revelation.
Let there be light was the sun, moon and stars, calls them luminarys in the heavens.
the light of the world is spiritual light or waters of truth or as he told the women at the well. The water I have will give you eternal life. All symbolic of truth and enlightment

The Temple of God are those who are his Children, And the Lamb is the Sacrifice of all of them ,including Jesus who is the head of the Body of Christ

No, that light is actually the shikinah glory of God. God actually shines and gives off light.
