Because when you touch something that is frozen with something warm (your finger, or tongue, for example), the heat transfers from the first few layers of your skin directly into the ice and the temp of those outer skin layers and the ice quickly equivalates and your skin is temporarily frozen to the ice until more blood comes to the outer layers of skin and eventually melts the ice.

either you have to clean your machine or its becuase you touch them and the are cold and will tend to cling to things they touch coming out of the freezer

They are below freezing, they freeze to each other , as they melt then their temp. is exactly freezing (32 degrees F.), which is too warm to freeze to each other.
