I have gone to several white churches lately and I'm home an hour earlier than my Baptist church and an hour to two hours earlier than a holiness church. I'm trying to find a church family.

It should not take all day to make a point. When is there time left to do the work the Bible tells us to do?

Find a Calvary Chapel and try it once. It is non-denominational, verse by verse Bible study, and Maranatha type music. Very casual dress, and a laid back environment. They love Jesus. No denominational baggage, but just pure worship. Its good. Total service time is about 1 hour and 15min.

I bet you don't ask that about football, or basketball, or what ever other sport you are into. If you like fishing I bet you could stay out there all day in the hot sun, and never catch a thing. I Love to go to Church and Worship the Lord our Services are sometimes, two hours or longer nobody seams to complain. And if they care to leave the doors are not locked. And their leaving does not bother my Husband at all. He just goes on Preaching until the Holy Spirit says that enough. Oh. by th way we are not Black, but Black People come to our Church as do Mexicans and Deaf, and who ever else that cares to come.

I stopped going to black churches for that very reason. I found that Calvary Chapel churches are about an hour in length and leaves you feeling feed and satisfied. It is a non denominational bible believing church: http://www.calvarychapel.org/?show=Churches
They have locations nationwide.

It's the way the preacher delivers the word of God. Like today, my grandmother went to church and about an hour and a half later, she was back at home. Some preachers just like to talk a lot and some like to get straight to the word. I know what you are talking about. Those long sermons put me to sleep.

I suggest attending a Catholic Mass. Our Mass is almost always about an hour long, with the exception of special days of worship. Plus, we have the real presence of Jesus in the Eucharist. However, the purpose of going to Church services is to humbly worship and serve our Lord, so we should not be complaining about how long it takes. We should be there out of love for our Lord.

Because they have all the time for their God and time has no meaning when the spirit moves them. Become a Quaker, they have just an hour of silent worship. That is if you do not mind someone sitting next to you gradually falling asleep and begins to snore.
