The Bible has always stayed the same.
But many people seeking have not been taught or brought up on the teachings of Christianity. They are searching for Truth. This forum is one place where some answers can be found to the questions of sincere hearts.
There will always be conflicting views and even distortions
regarding the interpretations of the Holy Scriptures and therefore the individual has to read the Bible and ask God for individual guidance.
Most of the Holy Bible is easy to understand.
It's a matter of obeying what we do understand. Human nature always looks for a loop-hole to get by with as much as they can.
But the real sincere Christian looks to see how much he or she can please God.
There's nothing wrong with asking questions about the Bible. But nobody has all the answers.
And we will never in our present state be able to fulfill all the things that God has asked of us as individuals.
But we as Christians should always try to do our very best to serve Him.
God sees our efforts.

Many books hold many answers.
Yet why is it that when most people read a book - regardless of their previous knowledge and intelligence - that they often have questions about what they have read?
Should we just tell that person - "Hey, the answer is right there. Didn't you read it?" If so, I do not believe that we would make very good teachers.
Answers are not always obvious, regardless of the ability one may have to understand them. Seeking answers by asking questions is an essential step to knowledge and enlightenment.
And I think, in your rush to criticize, that you are taking the belief that "The Bible has all the answers" a bit too literally. If it does, in fact, "have all the answers," it does not mean that they are obvious.

When you get SAVED, the HOLY SPIRIT come's to Live inside of you and Lead and Guide you into all TRUTH. You have no need for any man to teach you. So, what's the rubb, Bubb??? GOD give's us Teacher's anyway. WHY??
It might take the HOLY SPIRIT 10 Year's to teach a person a Principle, "Personally". But after that person learn's the Principle, he might be able to teach other's A LOT QUICKER then the other People might Learn on their own through the HOLY SPIRIT.
GOD can teach anybody, anything. But it is up to the Individual as to how fast he can learn, and when you can get a tape or book from someone who made alot of mistake's learning a Principle, you don't have to make the same mistake's. Ditto....

Because the bible hasnt got all of the answers, they just tell you this in order to get you into the church where you will pay your 10%. We all know good from bad, right from wrong, how to live a good life, in reality none of us need this book to tell us how to live a good life. We are just conditioned this way from the day we are born in you are unfortunate enough to be born into a religious family. We are born to make mistakes, we aren't perfect but we learn from our own experiences right, wrong, good, bad etc. After all, as you said - If it had all of the answers, why are these people asking so many questions? It's because the bible doesnt satisfy with what the men who wrote it put in it, and remember it was men who wrote it, not any kind of god..

The Bible doesn't have all the answers. The Bible has content that is valuable to spiritual development and that is what it was intended for. Using it for things like, oh let's say science, is short sighted; it would be like using a spoon to do brain surgery. You could, but it doesn't always turn out right. The one book has many different versions in it and it is intended to give us an idea how to conduct our selves and how to live.

Some Christians have questions about certain verses and usually ask other fellow Christians to clarify. It's not like all Christians are Biblical experts. Every time I read the Bible I get something new out of it.
We also have little get-togethers called Bible studies where someone picks out a theme and we discuss amongst ourselves.

The Bible can be very confusing, and isn't exactly in Layman's terms. Besides, when people need some help, Yahoo Answers turns out to be very resourceful.
The gray areas in the Bible are where other people and books come in for help. You also can't really talk to a Bible. You can talk to people.

Ah the answer actually in my opinion is because it makes us stronger in our faith. Honestly if we just blindly accepted the bible as the word of God and did not question things would word get around? If we didnt question to look for more viewpoints then we might as well be brainwashed and basically slaves to the bible who dont question words written by people. Yes the bible itself was written by humans and specific books put into it and specific ones left out. That is one thing people seem to forget. Major religious founders wrote it and chose specific things to keep or put in there. So questioning it is a very healthy and in my opinon good humane thing to do.

Well, I do not know why other Christians and even non-believers are here, but I am here mainly to share Gospel. I do not claim to know everything. Oftentimes I like to ask questions here even if I think that I know the answer. I like to hear other people's insights.
Sometimes I ask people's opinion about things, so there is never really the right answer to everybody.
Why do we allow other books with conflicting ideas and concepts...Even God allows us to have a free will. God wants not us but everyone saved, you know, EVERYONE to get to know the truth we have learned: that there is one God and only one, and Priest-Mediator between God and us- Jesus, who offered Him exchange for everyone held captive by sin, to set them free.
God's readiness to give and forgive is now public. Salvation is availble for everyone! That is why we should stay on good terms with each other, held together by love. We need to make sure no one gets left out of God's generosity!
The wages of sin was death. So He sent His only Son so we can be saved. All of us should rely on only this one book. If you are spitting on the sacrifice of Jesus...do not expect to enter to God's Kingdom. You have here your life time to seek Him and find Him, free will. Use it wisely. He wants us all. But do not have any mistake about it, as He wants us all...He will respect the choice of the people. If you do not seek Him and you do not accept Jesus as your Savior...He is not going to make a special rule just for you...His word is solid. His word is sound. Life is the "game", He gave the "rules"...You have your free will...as some of us would like to have everybody saved even thought they are mocking our Lord. Is not it clear by now that God operates quite differently? He chose the world's down-and-out as the kingdom's first citizens, with full rights and priviledges. This kingdom is promised to anyone who loves God. You yourselves are a case study for what He does. We need to make sure that people understands the consequences of not receiving the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ ...you do not walk away from a gift like that and expect to be saved.
Nobody should write a new addition. The Bible is as good now as it has been in the past and it is as good as it will always be.

Because not everyone takes the time to read the Bible or to get good teachings on the Bible. Interpretations are different too.
Sometimes people want interpretations that fit their situation and make their behaviors ok, when they really are not.
