It's hard. It takes a lot of dedication and willingness to compromise. I know people who it works great for and I know people who just couldn't make it work. There are other things that come into account. Like, how long have you been together? Was it a strong and healthy relationship before they left? How old are you guys? Do you have a good support system and more importantly, does he? But the key too it all is good communication. Talk, email, send pics, anything to keep each other in your lives. Good luck.

Only if you are gonna meet that person ...
I've had overseas relationships and Skype, msn or email just doesn't last too long.. We humans need physical contact, we can stay away from our loved one for a while, but if both parties live separated I don't thing the relationship will have any future..
If you are not certain about meeting each other once in a while, don't waste your time.. or just be friends.

I was in a long distant relationship for awhile along time ago.As long as theres trust and the possability to someday be together in the same country there is hope.It is hard though so make sure you're both ready to take on that type of a commitment. Its hard not being able to touch the person you love.

yes, many a romance has risen from just this thing. If you get a chance, rent a movie called "Love Letters"
with Joseph Cotton and Jenifer Jones. Somehow through the mail your soul is released and you see and feel more than you ever could in front of each others face. You'll know what love really is if you got the right one.
