Depends on the skill of the teacher.

The level of the student really doesn't matter so much unless the student is wanting to study to play professionally. In that case, it would be tutoring/coaching more than it would be lessons - or the student might opt to attend a college and major in music. Either of those options would be considerably expensive.

For just regular lessons - which are entirely adequate for most - normal would be about $15 for a half hour lesson, once a week.

However, I have a friend that's a teacher and has played at the White House and Carnegie. He charges $20 per half hour (again, once a week), and that's really not at all expensive for his skill level.
