You are the atheist , so why do you worry so about what your fellow man believes?? If you want some thing to worry about pick drugs or STDs or war or poverty or the green house effect or taxes or crime or politics or illegal gambling or the bird virus or the mosquito virus or scammers or terrorists or the lack of affordable housing or asteroids hitting the earth or cheaters or speeders or sunburns or grey hair or helmet laws or whaling or mercury in fish or the price of gas or the over use of our natural resources or hungry children or dogs in the pound or cats in the pound or all of the fires from the heat and no rain or OR OR

I get many laughs from how some (Atheists) worry so much about what others believe. I firmly believe you can believe or not believe that is an individuals choice. What kind of faith do you have to think that by your question, you can change someone mind about their belief.
OR are you just trying to stir up and anger people. You do know that you can be a bad person even if you are an atheist!

Yes I believe in God. Not because a preacher tells me I should or because my parents did or even because I have had some kind of "religious" experience. It is quite simple. I have taken the time to examine all the evidence. You see, we have brains for a reason. We have been given the ability to learn and reason for a purpose. If you take the time to examine the Bible while at the same time considering provable modern science it becomes very obvious that not only do we have a creator but that He is concerned with us and what happens to us. There are many so called "christian" religions in this world but how many of them REALLY teach what is in the Bible? Do the modern "christian" religions follow Christ? Only when you take the time to educate yourself about what the Bible really teaches will you be able to make a decision about weather or not God exists.

I'm an Agnostic who believes in a Higher Being. There are just too many clues that everything in the universe was done on purpose! I just can't stand organized religion.

@splinterjah: Belief in God has NOTHING to do with creation v. evolutuion. Many people who believe in God acknowledge evolution, the Big Bang, and other scentific theories.

Hello Atheist.. :)

I used to be an Atheist..but that could not save me from my past, nor myself..I also looked into Wicca..it did not help me spiritualy either.. :(

I was going to commit suicide, but when my brother came to get my children to go with him to church he asked me to go to with him, I told him I was not dressed, but he said he would wait..I cursed at the Pastor and told him he was a Jesus Freak (I hated Christians) all the Pastor did was tell me he loved me and Jesus did to..Yeh right.. :(

The following Sunday I went back to the Church, to curse somemore at the Pastor, but before I could say anything, he asked who wanted to be baptized that afternoon, my hand went right into the air..so I was baptized right behind a little Church, where as a young child, I would make fun of all the goody goodies, that went there on Sunday..

I asked Jesus into my heart, I did not feel any different that day. I even smoke a joint on the way hom..

But the next day I no longer had any doubt..I was quoting the Bible..(I never even had read it before)..My heart felt clean, as though I was white as snow..I was drug free..my old life which I thought was exciting, compared nothing to the unspeakable joy I was feeling..I saw everything differently, in a New light..I understood what other Christians meant when they told me that they Loved me..

God bestowed down upon me, His Love for my ten year old little girl, whom I could not Love on my own..the emptiness was gone and His Love took it's place..Well Glory..Alleluia..Amen

I also found out what it means to be a believer in Christ..you think that your friends, will see the change in your life..and they do..but it is not something that they want, they no longer wanted to be my friend, they made fun of me, because I no longer swore..smoked pot etc.. :(

For Whom the Son hath set Free is Free Indeed.. :)

But Praise the Lord, by the grace of God go I..I will Love them and keep them all in my prayers, until I go home to Glory.. :)

In Jesus Most Precious Name..
With Love..In Christ..

I trust in the belief that God created everything that we see day to day and even things that we do not see. I was raised by this as a child and choose to still believe as an adult. Read the book "23 minutes in Hell" and if after reading that book you can still choose to risk this by rejecting God and Jesus, then I will really pray for you.

Does it show something to all the Christians on here that Athiest chose to block his e-mail from us? Sounds like he is afraid to be confronted with the truth.

I have seen the signs of God. In His remembrance my heart rests. In His words I find comfort. In rough times, He gives me ease. Without God I'd be a lost soul , unsure of why I was created. Feel I didn't matter. With God, I know who I am, know what I want, and know my obligations. With God I walk a more certain path in life.. knowing where I'm heading to and knowing where to avoid. I am not an athiest because I don't have a reason being one nor would I want to be one. As denying the existance of God, is denying living itelf.

life is filled with the mysterious. We can try to explain how all physical systems are goverened by a set of fundamental laws. We use the big bang theory to explain the creation of the universe, but quantum mechanics and the theory of general relativty break down at instances of singularities. Einstein spent the rest of his life trying to find a thoery of unification, but could not. And yes some can argue that string theory poses a potential in unification, but ultimately we can never test it. That is why faith can not be explained in terms of logic. Let me say that again faith can not be explained in terms of logic. Just so I know ur with me Faith can not be explained in terms of logic.

I was one a long time ago. A very good one. But not long after having kids that changed my perspective on life in general. too much to really get in to now. I still have a voice in my head that questions my now belief but too much has happened for me to believe there is not a god.
I hope the same will happen to you.

Universals must exist in a physical sense or a somewhat Platonic sense, so an ultimate universal exists. Science presupposes universals exist, also so an ultimate universal must exist. Such must be a being. Therefore God exists. If creation comes from a singular cause then an ultimate universal must exist. ect...

I'm christian, there are many evidence that supports the Bible and none that disproves it..unlike evolution (people are just confused with mIcroevolution) there are no evidence AT ALL for mAcroevolution, scientists mix facts with fiction to make it more credible.

you didnt give us a reaon for why you are an atheist
