for sure it's bull; the bf doesn't have the back bone to stand up for the relationship. or he's not so in to the relationship to stand up for it. i've been in mixed relationships and my old school parents have never approved, but i've always continued on with them. it can be a challenge for your bf; he may be respecting their wishes and he's being pulled both ways. when culture is involved it adds another dynamic. for me i've continued with the relationships, but i've struggled with them because i've felt torn between the two. but if he likes you enough, usually the parents don't have a chance.
