i just bought one at a garage sale but no instruction booklet. I was just needing to know how long the booklet says to dry beef for? I have never used a dehydrator before, and i dont know what temperature it operates either...so any information on this product will be helpful...if you want to send me info send it to dangeranger87@yahoo.com......ty

sorry to say but you wasted your money.
to properly dry beef you need cool dry air, not warm moist air.
the best way to dry beef is to lay thin, bacon-sized strips single layered into the folds of a brand-new cellulose air filter. stack another on top and repeat until you have layed out all of your beef.
after all the beef has been layed out place one last filter on top of the whole stack. bungee cord the whole assembly together and then bungee it to a large, square-box fan.
set the fan on high and point it where ever you want the smell of your marinade to go. once a day, check the progress of your beef. it should take three to four days for it to finish.
when it is done, collect it from the filters, and store it loosely in a large container.

your marinade should contain a large amount of salt to help preserve the meat.
