The animal needs to see a vet, so if yo cannot afford one then take it to the humane society or whatever you call it there and give it to them.
They will either humanly put it to sleep or take it to a vet.

I found a kitten in my friends garage that was stuck inside a chair and I got it out and it had an eye infection also but you don't need to take it to the vet... It will heal by itself GUARANTEED! But DO NOT ALLOW THE KITTEN TO DRINK MILK! Only give it water and kitten food NOT CAT/ADULT food. Milk is too strong for a kitten and will only worsen its eye but water and food will help the kitty out ...OH and also get a WARM washcloth and clean the kitten ALL over and around its eyes and in the corners. It will nourish the kitten and may help the infection go away quicker. Goodluck and take care!

there may be more wrong than an eye infection but what i did with mine was:
get a clean washcloth
you can wipe the whole kitten down with it
in the water put some shampoo[ yours]
just wipe the kitten well then rinse with another clean rinse no soap washcloth
then dry with towel then
gently rub some type of antibiotic cream you may have
Neosporen or even plain vaseline just to keep the eye open.....
do both eyes with vaseline to keep them from closing up again...
also sometimes
EarMites cause eye problems and other health problems..
get some Q-tips
mineral oil
dip tips in oil wipe cats ears put down to the canal
be careful you do not want to puncture an ear drum
I used some earmite meds i have but if you do noy have earmite meds mineral oil will do well to clean the ears do this for a few days
you will see lots of black waxy stuff come out
put those dirty Q-tips in a paper cup or some old soda can so you can contain them to toss out..
cats/kittens who are outside get fleas/ticks/worms/mites/ and other element problems .
now....keeping kitty clean is the key to clearing up the eye problem...
hope this helps come back with another question if it doesn't now it may take several cleanings for a few days to clear this up...
finda safe antibiotic which can be used near the eyes...
sometimes the dollar stores have creams for cuts and such...

if you don't think the eye will get better on it's own you have to take it to the vet. get a payment plan or something. or borrow money-the money isn't for you, it's for a kitten-people will help a kitten!
****but be VERY carful using any home-remedys that people give here-they are not professionals!****
you could end up doing more harm than good.
And remember animals bodies are very different that humans-what works for us won't necessarily work for them.
Good luck, I praise you for taking on this responsibly and helping that little guy :-)

Warm water on some guaze and that will feel nice on her eyes and u can clean them out probably a couple times a day as needed. Also try 2 get her to the vet so the infection doesn't get worse.

warm water with a little salt dissolved in it should do the trick.
use a soft cloth or cotton ball soak it in the solution then swab the eye. start from the tear duct which is at the corner of the eye near the nose and swab down towards the cheek don't swab across the eye. do this about 3 times a day. Don't touch it with your fingers as you can spread the infection. I hope this helps.

I've always used a little boric acid mixed with warm water.
Wipe the kittens eyes with this solution several times a day (2 or 3). My cats eyes always seemed to clear up within a few days.

Use a soft damp cloth to wipe the eye a couple of times a day...always use a fresh area with every wipe. also you can us half an asprin mixed in the cats food to help with any swelling of pain. only use asprin though. make sure the cat does not go outdoors and that it's eye is always clean! Good lucand i hope the kitten gets better

make yourself a saline solution by boiling a quart of water with about three tablespoons of salt, then letting it cool. gently rinse the eyes several times a day. this is the consistency of tears and may help. it may not really be infected, though i think kittens are prone to them, and that is one reason the mother licks their eyes so much...the natural healing agents in her saliva help. Don't laugh, but if you have a friendly dog or cat that will 'mother it,' let them, and let it wash the kitten's face as much as it will. female labs are very motherly, and it may help...this is why animals lick their wounds to clean them and why humans have to use soap and water, haha.
