I am home for the summer from college. I am trying to convince my parents that "I can take care of myself now, I've done it before." But, they just keep hovering over me like helicopter parents, treating me like I'm 15 again. They seem to want to drive my life like a car, while I'm in the driver's seat. Kinda like a backup. WHAT SHOULD I DO?!?!?!?!

Can you move out? You can never go home again is true. Once you live on your own living with your parents is to hard.
You could try to talk to them and tell them that you are not a child anymore and to please try to treat you like an adult.

Try compromise! The will treat you like you're 15 until... well, I don't know when, because I'm 23 and mine still treat me like I'm 15 when I go visit them. To them, you will always be their little one. Understand they want to know where you are because they worry, but draw the line on important issues to you (like dishes, yuck!). Good Luck :)

Tell them, "I want to pilot my own life, and I can't do that with you guys doing that for me, so PLEASE, quit breathing down my back every second of my LIFE!" it seems sorta harsh, but if you storm into your room and slam the door behind you, they'll get the picure.

just show them that you are grown up tell them that you are old enough to take care of yourself and you are about to go out on the world and find yourself a job

Do what they say or move out. It's easy. Also, don't eat any of the food they buy, and don't use any of the electricity they're paying for.

well maybe they just missed you and want to spend time with you but if it really bugs then just tell them that you want to spend time with someone else or to be alone
