I will tell you thats an excellent question. I am proud of you, it shows you still have a brain, sadly lacking in others. So true, they are trying to make being a democrat as someone in league with the devil, such hogwash. If that is what you meant by that statement, it was slightly unclear.

I am a Christian and usually have Republican leanings, though I cant say Im at all happy about this war, Bush or "elitism"

Decades ago, Republicans were for the rich, and Democrats for the poor, some people still think this is the case. Some Christians will still vote Democrat because their family has been for generations, yet overlook such things as Pro Choice and same sex marriages that Democrats tend to be for... because they think they're still for the poor. Some people became Republicans when Democrats picked up such causes, but they overlook things like war because they dont want to be associated with the "wickedness" of pro choice and so on.

It aint what it used to be guys.... never will be again. Everyone should just understand that Jesus would be neither and if He delved into politics at all He would be an independant.

Republicans didn't hijack Christianity, they were Christian from the beginning. John the Baptist was a Republican. Republicans hate war and killing but know that war is what wins freedom. Talk to the Kennedys about elitism. Go back to your liberal educational institution and insist that they teach you the truth and not some NEA sanctioned mush. And stop sniveling and whining.

You are looking at one nation; there are Christians all over the world. I am a Christian person who has Republican LEANINGS, but I abhor war, killing, terrorism, and elitism. I don't personally know anyone, Christian, Republican, or otherwise, that loves or condones those horrible things, but I do know that those people exist in all forms. If you are basing your statement on the fact that George Bush is a Republican and a Christian, and he is the Commander in Chief of a military at war, does that make him a war lover? I don't think so. Is he a terrorist? Well, lets look at the word "terrorist". Does George Bush incite terror in the minds of people? I think he incites anger in some, but I'm doubtful that he incites terror.

because people suck. because they are weak and submit to illegitimate authority time and time again. don't matter whether it's Nazis or Republicans. most people are like the frogs in the fable where they are unhappy with their log god, so they bug Zeus till he sends them a snake who eats them all. i recommend people get lives and develop their brains instead of being hateful miserable ignoramuses. Like MLK said, "for some reason I can't be all that I can be, unless you are all that you can be." something like that. thank God, we killed him. What an instigator!

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."
