I find it terribly annoying to have to chase down a single pickle in a jar full of pickle juice. Either eat the last pickle or pour out some juice but stop the maddness! Do you know why people leave the a lone pickle in a huge jar of juice?

For the same reason you leave one ice cube in the ice cube tray

The pickle "juice" is preserving the pickle. If there was no juice the pickle would either go bad or dry out.

Maybe there were two pickles there, and they only wanted one.

Why can't you just pour the juice out when you get to the last pickle rather than "chase it down"? Is that so hard?

The juice will keep that last pickle from drying out?

It use to happen in my house, till I got a Tupperware Pickle container it has a strainer inside so when you go to get the pickles out it lifts them from the brine. Also use it for Beetroot.

They're either lazy or considerate to leave one.
