I never did, but friends of mine have. I wouldn't be too worried, but I would want them to know the dangers of drugs. Being 30s, I've been around. In middle school I hung with gang members and druggies. I've seen those people grow up, and I see what happens to them. I am now married and live in a suburb.
What teenagers don't understand is that a human brain doesn't stop developing until youre'about 25. If you mess with something as it grows, it doesn't turn out right.
Just remember it's YOUR decision to smoke, so YOU are the one who has to take responsibility for your actions, whether you're on drugs at the time or not. If you know darned well that doing drugs makes you do something stupid, then don't do drugs! That's called responsibility. If somking weed does nothing other than relax you, then fine, enjoy.

The idea would be to open an avenue of communication. A little pot doesn't really hurt, but it can create a sense of overconfidence and compel one to try other drugs, like E or mushrooms, etc. And daily use is not ok, that's like being an alcoholic without physically being addicted. So, yes, I would get mad to prove a point and certainly encourage them to talk to me about the choices they make in their lives.

Not until she is about 10 years older than she is now. As long as she doesn't smoke cigs. No I wouldn't be mad. Why would I be mad at her. People have to live and learn some things. Pot is not a big deal, never has been. Heroin, cocaine and stuff like that.. now that would piss me off.

Yes I would. I would not be mad that they were smoking pot, but I would be mad because they were knowingly breaking the law. I believe pot should be legal. However, I also firmly believe that the law should be respected, even if you don't agree with it. I'd blister the kid's backside.

Getting mad is no good, for a fact you are making it worse. I would try to talk to him or her and see why she or he is doing it. Is it pure pressure from the other kids, is it to impress others or is it just ; because I want to be ME.??? Tell him or her ,were it can lead up too and tell him or her why you don't want it to smoke pot. Keep a door open and communicate.

I was upset when my child did, because it makes me worry about him. He doesn't do well in school as it is and I'm sure pot won't help. So my answer is basically it made me more worried than mad. Pot was never and issue for me.

I didn't when I was younger and I wouldn't be mad. I'd probably be disappointed, but I wouldn't be angry. People make mistakes. The last thing a child needs is to feel they've done irreversible damage to their relationship with their parent(s).

YES. i have an adult child that started out that way. now the kid is doing allot more than that. when the high wore off of the pot, the kid went onto something else. that high wasn't happening, so on to another drug. we never did drugs. so why did the kid? there comes a time in all of our children's lives they will make their own decisions.if it is a bad decision tell them so. if it is a good one, praise them.

yes be mad. it is wrong, it is a disgusting habit. and it is not therapeutic nor is it a herb. it is a DRUG. it screws up the brain and the younger the user, the higher the chance of addiction. and we all know where addictive behavior takes people to. it takes them to sad, sad places. as a parent, it is your job to say NO.
u did it when u were younger because u didnt know better. but u know better, so u can tell your kids no. makes sense, no?
