Not that I know of! I've never heard that, but I have heard DON"T SCATCH! Yeah right like thats going to happen! If she has seen it happen though I'd listen to her there are many "Old Wives Tales" that have proven to be true! Also throw away all the clothes you where wearing when you got it, Poison ivy can "live" (for lack of a better word) on your clothes for over a year even with washing!

It's an old wives tail. Spicey food will not irritate the poison ivy... Your stomach is another story.... :)

only thing could happen is if you get spices in open scratches it will hurt but no way can spices make the poison ivy worse!
