A crucifix! It is much more powerful (but only if it is blessed).

If I were Catholic I would rather wear the St. Christopher than a guy being tortured on a crucifix.

If I was a professed Roman Catholic, I would wear a crucifix over a St. Christopher.

I'm a non-denominational Christian... I wear a small gold crucifix with a tiny diamond at its centre... but not as a protector... merely as a reminder, that God in Christ, died and was reborn for me, to afford me eternal life.

I also have one stuck on a credic card sized card, with this poem:

I carry a cross in my pocket
A simple reminder to me
Of the fact that I am a Christian
No matter where I may be

This little cross is not magic
Nor is it a good luck charm
It isn't meant to protect me
From every physical harm

It's not for identification
For all the world to see
It's simply an understanding
Between my saviour and me

When I put my hand in my pocket
To bring out a coin or a key
The cross is there to remind me
Of the price He paid for me

It reminds me too, to be thankful
For my blessings day by day
And to strive to serve Him better
In all that I do and say

It's also a daily reminder
Of the Peace and comfort I share
With all who know my Master
And give themselves to His care

So I carry a cross in my pocket
Reminding no one, but me
That Jesus Christ is Lord of my life
If only I'll let Him be!

Hmmmm I used to practice Catholicism, lets see. I've got this gear around the house already but if I wore it which one would I choose. Ah what the heck, I'll pick the Crucifix; a golden one tied into a nice gemstone encrusted Rosary! The way they do it up right at the Vatican.

A blessed crucifix would be a choice for something to be worn near my heart. But if I drove I would carry an icon of St Christopher to protect me as I travelled.

I would wear both but prefer the crucifix without the acrobat

I would prefer a crucifix which shows the message of the Gospel without words.

With love in Christ.

Saint Christopher, because I believe it is spiritually beneficial as a Christian to acknowledge the works of the Saints. It serves to remind us that we too have an ongoing responsibility to Jesus. We all have the potential to become Saints, by working in Jesus' s name, and doing our best to walk with Him, for His glory.

Personally, I wear a cruciform, a.k.a. a four way cross. It has symbols of Jesus (Sacred Heart) on the top, Mary (Miraculous) on the bottom, St Joseph (Faithful gaurdian) on the left, and St Christopher (Safe travel) on the right, with a dove (Holy Spirit) in the center.

I know that many people might consider that to be idolatry, or perhaps sharing worship for God with men in a divisionary manner ( I used to think that ), but that's OK. I'm sure Jesus doesn't mind me paying my respects to the men and women who dedicated their life to Jesus in extraordinary and selfless ways.
