Go to your local Lowe's. They have great books at reasonable prices. I've gotten so many ideas from them. Home Depot has many of the same books. Another place I got books was a book store called Hastings. Their home improvement books are often on clearance. I've gotten some for as low as $2 for full color with complete instructions.

www.hgtv.com has some tips. However, your local Home Depot will have some free flyers and pamphlets. I used these when painting two rooms in my house and they helped a lot.

whenever you go to the grocery store you should pick up a decorating magazine that is appealing to you or you could go to a hardware store where they sale paint and ask them if they have any books on painting techniques or you could go to a book store and ask them if they have any books on painting techniques or you should check out HGTV.com, Betterhomes&gardensmagazine.com, or TLC.com
