God is whatever you want it to be, so its self defined, man made. The word god means many things at different times so you need to hear the word in context. I generally use it as an expression of surprise eg "Oh my god"
This does not mean that I believe in God I just use the word
Hope this helps

You don't have to believe in something to use it in your vocabulary, ask questions about it, and be curious about it. And no one except you can change your beliefs.

I believe in God, although I consider myself agnostic. Sometimes, despite so-called "logic," something called "faith" emerges and enables people to believe in God. I do not believe that God or God's existence needs to be justified with logic, because the definition of logic is not concrete. I also understand that, even though humans know a lot, we still DON'T know a lot. That is where faith comes in, even if they're agnostic.

Interesting take :)

Everybody has a god or gods, and faith in something...

I used to be an atheist. Over a period of time however, I grew convinced of the existence of the Christian God, and ultimately committed my life to Christ (e.g., see http://www.godsci.org/gs/chri/testimony/seek.html ).

Cordially,
John

The word "god" is everywhere. It's on bills, in schools, In courts... Believers repeat it all the time so why shouldn't atheists.
If you wanna discus god's nonexistence, you gotta mention it. Except if you prefer "god" replaced with "#$%&?".

I don't believe in the the christian deity. I never demean anyone's choice of belief and I respect even those who choose not to respect me. Comparative religions was one of my more favorite curriculum's in college because I look at it in a more sociological view. I feel diversity is a good thing.

I don't believe in Santa Claus either but that doesn't mean that he is stricken from my vocabulary. We say 'god' just as a figure of speech, not in the literal maner.

Please don't try to make yourself believe that everyone somehow deep down inside believes in a god.
I'm not saying that that is what you are doing, I'm just saying please don't let it be.

I believe in a God, AND a Goddess :)
But let other people have their free will, and ask whatever questions they want, and believe in whatever they want.

We are human, we have curiosities, its only natural :)

Hope you understand!
Blessed Be!
