I will be having a single fusion at the c6 level. Would like to know what to expect for the recovery. The doctor did tell me what to expect but i would like to hear from people who have had this done.

Thanks

Well, and what's the reason for the fusion?

If it's a herniated or dehydrated disc and the surgery is not an absolute must to be done within days or weeks, you rather should firstly go for a manual one-time treatment called Atlasprofilax. It's available in California (at present) and Europe.

A surgery contains a very high probability having the same symptoms in the neighbouring discs a few years later.

But in case it's a "pure" bone problem, I don't know if you can get away without a surgery.
