Love, Joy, Peace of Mind.

The Confidence that I am in daily relationship with the God of the Universe

(He is like my Beloved Father, and he grants me the honor, which I do not deserve, of being one of his beloved children -- an adopted child).

As a follower of the Prophet Isa (pbuh), I am submitted to the will of God, based on the teachings of the prophet Isa (pbuh).

As a Christian, I have God's promise of eternal life and salvation. I know for a fact, that if I were to die in my sleep tonight, I would immediately be with God in Paradise.

God gives me this confidence, so that I never have to feel anxious or worried or depressed or unhappy because I am not sure if I will make it to heaven when I die.

Do you know for sure that you will got to heaven when you die?

If you dont, would you like to?

For a brief explanation of the gospel (of salvation through Jesus Christ), see http://www.godsci.org/gs/new/essence.html

Peace be upon you and your family.

Cordially,
John

Christians, those who have accepted Jesus as their personal savior have to believe in God. The three parts of the Godhead are the Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit, you cant have one part without thr other. The befits are so numerous to having Jesus as your savior. You get help, comfort and understanding, healing, deliverance and love on the earth. When you die you get to go to a place that Jesus says is better than anything you could ever hope for or imagine. No more tears, no sickness, no death and the glory of the Lord forever.

Every religion has a "god" the members believe in...not just Christians, why not ask everyone and not just single out Christians?

Really, it's not about what's in it for us...or at least not for me anyway.
I mean, God wants us to believe in Him and follow Him and obey His laws because it will bring us happiness and allow us to live peacefully.
I follow God because I love Him and appreciate Him for all He's done for us. He's given everyone so much. It's only fair to give Him all that we have in return...for example, our love, our faith, our praise, etc.
He is just and fair and righteous. He loves us and wants us to be happy. The evil and injustice of the world is not caused by Him and His lack of care for us. Rather, it is caused by people and hatred for one another and refusal to obey the laws. He did not say, "Do what you want, and I'll clean it all up." He gave us laws which we were to live by, along with the choice of whether or not we actually do follow them. Freedom of choice doesn't mean that you can make the choice without consequences. If you choose to steal, that person's stuff isn't a bottomless pit of stuff. You can't just steal it, and then another still be there. That person's belongings are gone...and unless you give it back, they'll never get it back. It might end up being something irreplacable, something of sentimental value.
If you choose to kill someone, you take that person's life. They can't just suddenly come back to life. That person is dead, and their family suffers.
God's laws are there for a reason. Following them brings a peace and happiness which cannot be found anywhere else.

Eternal Life, after natural death
Peace, Joy, Patience, Fulfillment, Satisfaction, Safety, Comfort, the ability to love unconditionally, having my needs met, God's sufficient grace and mercy when I make mistakes, A crown of glory waiting for me when I get to heaven because I was a servant of God, Hope, Faith that Jesus really is the Son of God, His omnipotent power when I become weak, the fact that I can cast all of my cares on Him because He cares for me, Healing when I'm sick, the fact that I don't have to be:
Stressed
Depressed
Wanting
Worring about my tomorrows
Anxious
Confused
Needy
Weak
Weary
Angry
Mean and
Nasty all the time
I can have peace in the middle of chaos and unorganization.
I can give my burdens and problems to the Lord and have faith in a positive outcome.

It's true...it's so true....But you have to really know God. You have to know what makes Him happy, and mad, and excited, and do things for you like that...And you can only find it in the Bible.
God Bless!

I believein God because I can see to many things that show Him to me. Things unexplainable by science or mathematics.
Things that only prayer and faith in Him fixed. Things in my life that I've had to endure so I could help someone else when it's their turn for the rough times. God gives me strength everyday, and i dont mean physical, i mean spiritual strength to keep on trying to help nonbelivers understand, to endure the hardships the devil throws at me.
People are not tempted or tested by God, but by the devil. God allows it to be done for you to show your trust in Him, and to make you stronger in faith.
At the end of my time, the thing that is in it for me is an eternity recieving blessing from Him, for believing and doing as I was told.

God may exist, or he may not. Some people convince themselves they know he exists, because they're insecure and can't handle the uncertainty that is our reality. Some people convince themselves they know he doesn't exist, out of arrogance or fear of him.

Uhhh...Roxton? Atheists do not believe in God. That's what the word 'atheist' means. One who does not believe in God.

Because belief is one of the prime directives they have been programmed with through the indoctrination process.
What's in it for them doesn't count so much as to make sure they pass on the indoctrination to others, their children for example so that the religion can be nurtured and spread, the relligion exists for the good of the religion itself ... all is ultimately directed to that end.
