God was created in man's image by a bunch of men who lacked the creativity to descibe him any other way.

God is jealous it says so many times in the Bible... he wants us to believe in him so bad! He doesn't want the Devil to get a hold of us...so that we won't have to face eternity without him...
he does get angry...
with Satan for ruining peoples lives the way he does...
and wrath well.... check out the old testament (Levitcus and stuff like that) you'll understand...
And since those are all his traits too then why couldn't we have been created in his image...

Man is created in Gods image...but the aspect you are referring to...such as the jealous angry wrathful human traits...are aspects of what has entered man since the fall in the garden......thus sin was born into man........

In the beginning God said let us make man in our own image. God is three in one consisting of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. The image doesn't have anything to do with the sin nature, that occurred when Adam and Eve sinned in the garden od Eden.

Depends on what you mean by "god". If "god" refers to some higher power that is beyond the scope of human understanding, then your question has no intelligible answer. If you mean "god" in the religious sense of the word, as it is used by Christians and Moslems then I would say that man has created his concept of god in mans own image....

Human beings are created in the image of the Christian God (in the sense of having personality, mind, volition, will, intentionality etc).

The Bible uses anthropomorphic langauge to communicate with us.

Cordially,
John

Because I am a christian...I believe the bible, and it says that man was made in God's image. After all, He is the creator of all things.

God created man in His image.

Then God said, "Let us make a man -- someone like ourselves, to be the master of all life upon the earth and in the skies and in the seas."

So God made man like his Maker. Like God did God make man; Man and maid did he make them. ~ Genesis 1:26-27

Creating a god that looks just like you. Thinks just like you. Hates all the same people you do. Where can you go wrong in that logic?
