I live in a very small country town and it seems that everyone my age(20) drinks. I've tried meeting people in every possible way. I have been in several bad relationships where my guy has drank and turns abusive. I am trying to eliminate this problem. PLEASE HELP!!

Alcohol is one of the biggest problems in the world. It is addictive and it eliminates one's ability to judge between good and the bad. I'm 21 years old and I don't even know what alcohol tastes like and I don't think I will ever know. I am happy without alcohol.

I feel for ya kid....I know what your going through.....even a lot of the guys at church are what we call Sunday Sorrygoers.
They go to church on Sunday to say how sorry they are for all the drinking and fighting and wife beating they did the week before.
I dont know...I guess you may just have to wait till you can move out of your area and start looking fresh somewhere else.

This all depends on where you are looking for guys, and also what type of guy you are interested in. For instance, i do not drink and i am at the same age, but most girls do not go for a guy like me because i am a little bit nerdy. You see, depending on the type of guy that attracts you, you might always find yourself going for a guy who drinks, unless you change what attracts you to guys..................

There are some churches where you aren't allowed to drink. Maybe you should check out one of them to meet non-drinking guys. Is it possible that you attract a certain type of guy?

it is hard enough for older ppl, 30s and above, to cope with the realities of life, but younger ppl try to grow up before their time. this world makes you want to escape. especially in small town USA, where everyone around you is doing one thing, and seem to be having fun, the big lie, its hard not to go along. you need to broaden your horizons, and realize that you are enough, that your life is full, only when you are complete, and sure of who you are, will you find the right one, to add too what you want to become, and you to them. how zen

its hard to find that because you live in a small country town. you might have to move. different location, new scenery might be what you need
