But if you do it the quick way you miss out on all the fun!

Slowly getting to know someone, to love them for their quirks and foibiles, to learn about their childhood, their hopes, their dreams. That is how you decide if someone is right for you and you can't rush that bit - that is the bit that keeps you together when the world is falling down around your ears.

But if you want to decide if someone is worth putting that effort into then it is gut instinct. You can't describe it. Sometimes it makes no logical sense at all.

Right for you in what way? For marriage, no, that could go horribly wrong but for relationship maybe, if you find them sexy, funny, engaging, have the same interests and are actually interested in what they have to say I think thats a good start

I suppose there is.. If the person who you're dating is lovely, wonderful, unique girl, who likes spending time with you, whose presence makes you feel comfortable, who you can laugh with, who listens to what you have to tell her and responds adequatly, who you have a lot in common, who tries to indulge you, who pays attention to the little stuff that mean something to you, who you like to talk to and share every day life...

I could delineate a lot of different things how I would be checking somebody new. The important thing is that you make your own list of possible characteristics you would like your girlfriend to have and check her out.. Good luck!

No. You will know rather quickly if the two of you share a chemical connection, but beyond that it would take time and getting to know each other.

That's like asking,

"How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie-roll-pop"!
