If the chicken is boiled in the water until is is cooked and ready to eat, then the stuff from the raw chicken in the water has also cooked until it is also eady to eat. Your can take out the chicken pieces and boil the water some more to evaporate it and make the broth taste stronger. This is called reducing the broth. It is the base of chicken soup. You could throw some fresh celery minced and garlic, pepper, you could fry some chopped onions in a little oil or butter for 5 min and add them to the soup. Pull the chichen off the bones and chop and add back to the reduced stock. Maybe a bit of dried thyme or tarragon or both. Season to taste. You can cut some potato chunks and/or sliced carrots or root vege. and boil for 20 min. or so before you add the chicken back if you want. Express yourself! It's just soup!. Happy eating.

It's called chicken broth when you cook the meat in water. Chicken STOCK is made with the bones rather than the flesh and has a more full-bodied flavor, better for chicken noodle soup than broth, but either one is very good to use for soup and will have an even better flavor it you add some salt, pepper & herbs, maybe a carrot & some celery.

You sure can. The raw chicken was boiled in the water.. therefore it is safe to use. The water is actually called broth. It is safe to use and can be used as the base for a soup or gravy. Just add your veggies, pieces of meat, spices and then you have your dinner!

Yes, you are making chicken stock.

If you are concerned about bacteria, don't use the same utensils on cooked chicken that you used for raw chicken. Also, wipe down your stove and counters with bleach and water.
