i just have one more question. if god created a perfect world i think its stupid that he created evil. if gods brother was the devil then who was gods father? why have i never seen this question asked and also, if god made the world why did he just make a garden pretty? why wasnt the whole world like that? you get a conception that adam and eve were kicked into a desolate place. if god really made the world you would think it would be nice. and why did god let the snake into his garden if they were sworn enemies against each other in the first place. sure he would have know we could have had a perfect world if that enemy of his the snake was not allowed in the garden to tempt evil. i dont know but theres a lot of things that dont add up and sorry to debate against some peoples answers

The devil is not God's brother but a fallen angel. God didn't create evil. We choose evil or the absence of God. Just as darkness is the absence of light so evil is the absence of God.

For starters, where does it say that God has a brother? And if he did, it most certainly wasn't the devil. Yes, the whole world was perfect and beautiful, but then Adam and Eve probably weren't thrown out of a literal and physical garden. By their own free will, something that God respects in all creation, they lost their life of perfect grace. They chose to disobey a command, and in so doing, were made to accept the responsibility of there action. As to the enemy, free will enters into play again: he chose to do evil, even as Adam and Eve chose to follow. They all could have chosen differently. Its not a matter of debate: you have to follow your own path to self-discovery. Blind faith is no honor to ourselves or to our Creator. If you choose to believe, or not, you should have solid and informed reasons for your choice. Anger and blindness are not the best advisers. Safe journey!

Keep on asking questions and thinking, but start over on what you trust for sources. The bible is filled with mythology and speculation. For example, the story of Adam & Eve is pure mythology. If you read the bible and think about what is said about god you will find thousands of contradictions. There is not a "The" answer. The world is here and you are here and no one can tell you the whole story of how it all happened. Don't fail to read the great scientists and philosophers and then think for yourself. Read:the little book "A brief History of Time" by Stephen Hawking.

Unfortunately many believe that the "Christian God" is the only and true God.
As you are discovering there are many contradictions in this belief. However, our society (western society) clings tremendously to save unreasonable beliefs. A person that is searching for the truth needs to have the courage to withstand being by themselves, to think by themselves as you are doing it. If you have what it takes, you will discover God. He is nothing like what the scriptures written by human beings according to their whims, likes and dislikes have portrayed. Christianity is not the only religion as you know. Once you find the experience of God, you know you found your place.

In this world we do not lose anyone. It is an eternal repetitive cycle. You are an eternal soul, just like your Mom. The body perishes to be transformed, but "I" the soul always exists... it takes another body to play another role. It is assured that you will see your mom again. Guaranteed.
Maintain good courage, my friend.

God did not create evil. The angels were created before us. He gave them a free will just as he gave to us. Only he made them pure spirits and they understood his magnificienceand beauty better than us. He made them higher beings than humans. Then he told them his Son would be born of the human race. A legion of angels with Lucifer as its head didn't want to serve and fall down and adore a being born of the human race. They rebelled and St. Michael, the Archangel, cast them into Hell. These fallen angels kept their powers, though. He let them tempt us, but we are NEVER tempted beyond our strength of will. And since God only wants friends who really love him, he gave us the free will to choose to be with Him or Lucifer for eternity. He let us have a choice. We don't have to choose God. He doesn't force anyone to be his friend. But for his friends he promises a place that is beyond the wonder of our imaginations. You know, it's not fair to give an athelete a prize if he didn't win the race. It's not fair to give an A to a student who refused to study and apply himself. It's not fair to give Heaven to those who don't want it and don't even try to get there. Evil entered the picture with Lucifer.

before SIN, everything God created was "Good" Evil came about when the devil and people rebelled against God. God didn't create evil or suffering...We did that to ourselves>OUR Free-will allowed us to rebel against God's perfect world> If we didn't have free-will then we would be robots and God doens't want to FORCE us into obedience...he wants us to VOLUNTARILY love him> that is TRUE love> It is our fault we suffer, it is our Pridful nature that makes people think that we don't need to follow God> all we can do is pray for guidance>

my answer to your question is !!! Its all in what you think!! Tell mee....everything that exists in this world today is in duality. 2 eyes, nose holes, ears, hands, legs, good, bad and so on....without the good, there is no bad......without bad......you are unable to realise good...........human existence is just in form...the soul in you trancends all.....my words might seem confusing but think about it.........GOD is not someone who can be figured out by teachings,..ofcourse you need a teacher yo guide you but you have to figure him out yourself......thank him and be happy........and understand that nohing is for certain in this world..........and happiness does not depend upon who u r and what u have.......but solely upon what you think!!!!!!
